Now… you know those people whose UI’s look like one big happy family… like everything came out of the same box.  Like it was meant to work together?

Yeah I know.  I hate them.

Here’s how you can make your stuff look like it belongs together.

Every mod with bars – Omen, Most timer mods, Grid, Any unit frames, Quartz, DBM, Skada – lets you set the texture of your bars.  Sometimes it’s hard to find, but it’s there.  I figured this out because Xperl starts out with that pock-marked horror.  I don’t like measles on my bars, thanks.

Make all your bars the same texture. Then they all look like they belong together.  Like one big happy family.

(For those who care, I use the “Smooth” texture.)

Bonus points if you can figure out how to get all the fonts to match.  For me, that’s too much effort.  But the bar textures, yes, I’ll do that every time, if only to avoid chicken pox.

  1. I like to use Minimalist, personally.

As far as making all the fonts match, I usually go with Emblem for most things. To be honest though, I'm not sure if that font comes in all the mods, or if I see it as a result of having the mod "Fontain" I like custom fonts!
